MTGEDH respects intellectual property rights and expects users of our site to do the same. This page explains (1) what content on MTGEDH is owned by whom, and (2) how we handle copyright concerns and requests.

1) Ownership of MTGEDH content

Unless otherwise stated:

  • MTGEDH site content and tools (including our original articles, tool interfaces, site design, and software) are owned by MTGEDH or licensed to us.
  • User-submitted content (such as decklists, notes, and other submissions) is owned by the user who submitted it, subject to the limited license described in our Terms of Service for operating the site.

2) Magic: The Gathering-related materials

Magic: The Gathering card art, card names, mana symbols, set symbols, rules text, and related materials may be owned by Wizards of the Coast and/or individual artists and other rights holders.

MTGEDH is an independent fan website and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Wizards of the Coast. (See our MTG Fan / Trademark & Copyright Notice for more details.)

3) How to report a copyright concern

If you believe content on MTGEDH infringes your copyright (or you are authorized to act on behalf of the rights holder), please contact us at:

contact@mtgedh.com

To help us review quickly, please include:

  • The URL(s) where the content appears
  • A clear description of what you believe is infringing
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you believe is being used
  • Your name and best contact information
  • Any information showing you are the rights holder or authorized representative (if applicable)

4) How we handle requests

When we receive a copyright concern, we generally follow this process:

  1. Initial review
We review the request for clarity and completeness and may ask follow-up questions if needed.
  2. Temporary action (when appropriate)
Depending on the situation and the information provided, we may temporarily remove or restrict access to the content while we evaluate.
  3. Evaluation
We assess the claim in good faith, including whether the use appears authorized, licensed, user-submitted without permission, or otherwise problematic.
  4. Resolution
If we determine removal or changes are appropriate, we will remove the content, restrict access, or request edits. If we determine the content should remain, we may explain the basis for that decision to the extent we reasonably can.
  5. User notification (when applicable)
If the content was submitted by a user, we may notify that user and provide them an opportunity to respond, where appropriate.

5) Repeat issues and account action

If we see repeated copyright concerns tied to a specific user or account, we may restrict features, remove content, or suspend/terminate access in line with our Terms of Service.

6) No legal advice

MTGEDH cannot provide legal advice. If you are unsure about your rights or how to proceed, you may wish to consult an attorney.
